Hey guys, version 1.0.5 has been completed.

Features:
  • Bug fixes
    • Fixed typo's on the GUI installer (thanks to NeedForFun)
    • Fixed a bug which double-escaped data when updating templates in the admin cp, under a server running with magic_quotes disabled
    • Fixed a small bug in the MySQL database interface which would only affect some server configurations
    • Fixed a bug when creating templates in admin cp which would require you to rebuild the template cache
    • Fixed a bug when creating templates in admin cp that when no data was inserted (after immediate creation) a PHP error would appear in the header of the admin cp templates tab (related to the way predator caches its templates)

  • New Features
    • New powerful admin blogging system
    • Added ability to rebuild the system cache via admin panel
    • Added powerful data caching system - wrap Predator cache tags around content in both templates and system files and predator will cache this data, making it static, updating on the interval specified in the method.
    • Blogs-only method added to feeds controller (generate exclusive RSS and atom feeds for blog content)

The cache system in this update is very powerful, for example, wrapping cache tags around your chosen ones block will make that data static, meaning no SQL or php processing is required for that section. Under benchmarking conditions, this has proved to be 100 times quicker than without the cache system (we looped php to count and print to 10,000000 and it took just over 9 seconds, and with the cache system it took 0.04 seconds...)

I will be updating any existing customers to this release due to the new features and the stability updates.

Anyone waiting on this, I will contact you very shortly as I have spent 18-20 hour days coding to ensure predator is stable. I am not super-human so please understand I am not ignoring any of you, but I can't work 24 hours a day either (and also, our timezones are normally different)

Thanks

Also, the minimuim requirements for MySQL are 4.1 or higher, no prehistoric 4.0's, so if you're wanting Predator and running MySQL 4.0 or lower, please update (we strongly recommend version 5.0)
